Goody’s Dash Rookie Points Leader TJ Majors off to Kentucky

Sparta, Kentucky (July 9, 2003)

With only 5 races left in the season the Goody’s Dash Series is off to Kentucky for the 3rd and last Super Speedway race this year.  .  TJ Majors, who debut on his first super speedway track at Daytona in February is hoping to get some advice from his mentor Dale Earnhardt Jr. “I’ve never been to Kentucky; I’m not sure what to expect.  I’ve talked to Jr. and some of the guys to find out about the track but really it’s a matter of getting out there.”

Getting out there is what Majors needs to do.  Struggling without a major sponsor for the #26 Moss Motorsports Goody’s Dash Pontiac, only three races remaining and a disappointing finish at Greenville Pickens speedway Majors is raring to go this weekend.  During a heated race at the Historic Greenville Pickens Speedway Majors stalled to avoid a crash right in front of him and was unable to re-fire the car which put him a lap down and a finish of 13th

Majors’ is only 6 points ahead of Eric Wilson another driver vying for the Rookie of the Year title.  “We want this Rookie Championship” Majors explained “for the Moss’s and I know it would make Jr happy too, it’s always good to keep the boss happy”.  Majors also drives the #17 JR Motorsports Late Model in the NASCAR Weekly Touring Series Presented by Dodge.

The NASCAR Goody’ Dash Series Kentucky 150 kicks off at 8:00 p.m.  For tickets or information call Kentucky Speedway at (859) 647-4309 or www.kentuckyspeedway.com
